4th Batch Organizing Secretaries' Lunch Gathering at Boon Lay Raja Restaurant

It was friendship in action again. They gathered at the Boon Lay Raja Restaurant in Jurong East on 13 September 2014. Lunch together was a great fun. A special extended dining room was dedicated to the group for fine-dining with wine, self-entertaining Karaoke singing and sharing of fun. The place was overflowing with joy and happiness.

It was a reunion, full of laughter, for the former 4th Batch Organizing Secretaries. They exchanged greetings and chit-chatted happily. Though comfortably seated, many chose to move around freely to interact with friends to catch up with them again. Their smiling faces and laughter really brought out their youthfulness in all of them as if they were spending time together in the good old days.

Updated list of contacts were distributed to enable them to keep in touch. At that special gathering, they also shared some of their much treasured old photos which were instantly scanned for use to do their own personalized write-ups for keepsake and good memories of the fun they enjoyed together many years back. These would serve as a record of memories in a precious chapter of their life history.

Mr Ng Cheow Yang (aka Yang) took the opportunity to outline the follow-up plan by the 4th Batch OSs as decided at the previous gathering at Ang Mo Kio. Given the assurance of a concerted effort and mutual assistance, all of them were encouraged to recap some of their interesting and memorable events, happenings or personal achievements in their own ways so that they could be captured and uploaded to the web or blog for long lasting memories.

Their collective and cumulative contribution of written articles would be consolidated with an aspiration to put all the good things together for a good cause. Hopefully and proudly by mid 2015, they would be able to find a chance to download their write-ups with photos or images for the purpose of producing a hard copy of pictorial publication they can called their own.

With a deeper understanding of the need to spend meaningful time coordinating the monthly gatherings on a regular basis, everyone present then put their hands together to show their appreciation to Mr Wong Chee Kong (aka Kong) for a job well done. They hoped that the good follow-up effort would be continued by the next person assuming the responsibility for good impact and sustainability.

There seemed to be just not enough time for many of them to share joy and happiness of their reconnected friendship. That was really another fun-filled gathering that they appreciated so much so that some of them continued to meet after the lunch gathering for tea sessions in separate groups. Kudos should be extended to their lasting firm and cordial friendship.

All of them actually looked forward to meeting again at the next gatherings. They realized that more and more friends were reconnected again.

It was a day to remember. They wish one another great happiness, good health and good luck. While making consistent effort to link up the friendship they cherished, may they continue to enjoy the blessing of having many more fun-sharing reunions ahead?
